Social media can be brutal sometimes. Personally I've never really had massive fights with people who I did not agree with, or got accused of things. The shear presence on being in social media, following people and following news, keeping up with the news and all this excitement can be really overwhelming sometimes. I have been active on social media since 2016, so about 4 years now and it's been a very interesting journey. YouTube alone made me realise how much I enjoy creating meaningful content that I enjoy talking about - that is something that I am focusing on right now for the return for the 4th season of my show. Twitter has been an interesting journey as well, but the platform these days has become very aggressive... I don't necessarily mean people - however the taste of who am I following has been changed quite a lot in the few months/year - but the atmosphere is very busy that almost gives me a certain level of anxiety. That anxiety comes from the constant tweets and of course the newsflash and shenanigans about everything new that happens in Star Trek these days, which is good, but it is overwhelming. I remember "back in the days" I was eager to get to know more, but the information was not as easily reachable than it is in 2020. That initial excitement now sadly turned into a bit of an "online social media anxiety" of some sort.
As far as my hiatus, I'll be away at least till Star Trek Picard is out as I've heard that a few people already started spreading rumours and things they've seen in the early premiere. Not cool peeps, not cool. I was lucky enough not to experience anything in regards of the details also stopped watching trailers for a while, so I'm fine, but I have a feeling that this will not be the case all the time. So the officially declared hiatus is on and I will take it very seriously.
I know that a very few people really reads my blog in a weekly basis and I'm just getting back to publish more and more. I'm not even considered for being one of those people who's presence really matter online and I mean this with respect. If some reason any one of you want to reach out to me, I'm always happy to receive an email or you can even contact me through the "contact me" page. :)
I'm excited for what things to come both from what comes from Star Trek, also what I'm planning for this year with the channel and the yet not really discussed podcast... So in short, I'll be hiding here for a while and I'm looking forward to get surprised by what the future holds. :) _\\//
