What a sad year is 2016. :( We lost soo many great actors and talents this year: Ali, Alan Rickman, Kenny Baker, Gene Wilder, George Michael and now our all time Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher. I never really followed her work apart from Star Wars. As a Trekkie I know how difficult could be facing with the loss of someone who is almost like a family member for us. When Leonard Nimoy passed away, I had to deal with difficulties and with a really rough time. Suddenly I started to watch all the Spock specific episodes from Star Trek to keep him in mind as long as I can...
For a lot of people - especially for Star Wars fans - Carrie Fisher always will be Princess Leia. And that's all what we really need to know. A beautiful actress who had a major role in a pop culture movie that became a iconic part of our society. As long as those movies there for us, we are all able to celebrate her life and her achievement. She was a beautiful actress, a great character and a good human being. In Star Trek 2 Doctor McCoy said to Kirk: "He's really not dead as long as we remember him." That really helped me accept the death of Leonard and I hope this will help all the Star Wars fan out there: "She's really not dead as long as we remember her."
All of my condolences with her family and with all the Star Wars fans across the globe. _\\//
