Catching Up

It's been a while since I was wrote down my thought here and I feel that I've been away from the keyboard sort of speak. So here's a little update and catch up with what I've been doing the last few weeks/months since my YouTube hiatus and my podcasting "career" began.

Warm Blanket

The podcast has got a pretty good start from the beginning and every week I'm getting fantastic and positive feedback from the community and from my listeners. At this point the podcast had an overall 392 listen on Anchor alone and many more in YouTube as well. I could not be any happier and there's more episodes in the works with more fantastic guest in the line up for the upcoming weeks. It's been certainly a very good experience for me and a lot of fun. Talking to people in a more intimate platform allowed me to connect with these individuals and gave me an opportunity to hear their story. I am extremely grateful that these people shared their free time to talk about their passion towards Trek that I only can hope that the community find a valuable addition to the ocean of podcasts.

Patreon

Patreon has been something I've been struggling with in the past. I know a lot of creator out there always recommends to start one, but I was never really been confident enough that I will be able to provide something in return... and I want to give something back to the support. After a long planning and thinking I think I've come to terms with a very great and unique approach that will provide that extra touch for those who will decide to support me. I have created a support page on the site where you can read all about the perks and the benefits if you become a patron. But let's be clear, it is not mandatory and I'll be working harder to bring something to the table in every platform... yes, YouTube included, but I'll tell you about that in a future post. ;)

Let's Get Personal

Just as the whole World, the pandemic is still going on here in Scotland and I can consider myself lucky that I can still work with my job, even though at some point I wish I could do something else. The job market is in ruins, the future does not seems viable until a vaccine will be available and to be honest I think even after things will take time to "get back to normal." I'm grateful though that despite the very troubling circumstances I am able to work, have food in our table, have a wonderful and loving wife in my side and also my friends in the Star Trek community. Life is not easy and with the current global climate things will need time to change, until than the best we can do it to adapt to this situation.
We are doing well, mentally and physically, so happily there's nothing to worry about and I'm happy that I have a lot of things to do around the house and in front of the computer as well. I'm constantly studying that I've mentioned in my last "tube" video, and also enjoying my free time in the garden outside. Just this morning I've harvested the first lot of the potatoes I've planted in spring and I've never been that happier about the result. :) I always loved gardening and I'll be sharing more of my thoughts on that in my other blog at rocktigerdesign.com so feel free to get a scroll over as well. I also have a lot of graphic design project on the go, a lot more podcasting to do and hopefully starting making some videos as well in the upcoming months or so... at least planning. :)
That's it for now from the house of Trekkerprise and now Warm Blanket. I truly thank you that you took the time to read my thoughts and I hope I'll see you here or out there soon. ;) Be well, be safe, keep sane and Trek On! _\\//
